Description
Experience the vibrant flavor of homemade Raspberry Sorbet made from fresh raspberries and sugar.
Ingredients
- Fresh Raspberries: The star of the show! Use ripe, juicy berries for the best flavor.
- Sugar: This helps to sweeten the sorbet and balance the tartness of the raspberries. Adjust the quantity to your taste.
- Lemon Juice: Freshly squeezed lemon juice enhances the tartness and brightness of the raspberry flavor.
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan, combine the fresh raspberries and sugar. Let it sit for about 10 minutes until the raspberries release their juices.
- Transfer the raspberry mixture to a blender or food processor. Blend until smooth.
- Strain the mixture through a fine-mesh sieve to remove the seeds. Stir in the freshly squeezed lemon juice.
- Pour the mixture into a shallow dish and place it in the freezer.
- Every 30 minutes, stir the mixture with a fork to break up any ice crystals, until it reaches a smooth, scoopable consistency. This should take about 2-3 hours.
- Once ready, scoop into bowls and enjoy your refreshing raspberry sorbet!
Notes
- Store any leftover raspberry sorbet in an airtight container in the freezer for up to two weeks.
- If the sorbet becomes too hard, allow it to sit at room temperature for a few minutes before scooping.
